S.S.Attaollahi trained Siobhan (Burden Of Proof-Knockenduff / Nanoli Stud) completed the formality in the richly endowed Hazara Stud Golconda Juvenile Million (Gr.3), a Terms race for 3 year olds only at Malakpet on Monday. The filly was money back favourite among the three contenders for the seven furlongs trip. Siobhan settled well in front and led the pack with Cash Landing and Euro Zone close behind. On the straight Siobhan broke away from the two and stretched out effortlessly. Euro Zone finished second many lengths ahead of Cash Landing.

A game galloper, Vijay Vidhata (Gaswar-Blue Sonata) from trainer Laxman Singh’s yard scored its eleventh victory from 16 starts in the Stewards Cup. The success was achieved due to some immaculate riding by ace saddle artist Y.S.Srinath. Vijay Vidhata had settled well in fourth with Sketch Of Beauty, Commanding Boy and Vallee Secrete in front. Approaching the final furlong Vallee Secrete was in the centre with Happy Guy storming ahead from the outside and Vijay Vidhata saving ground along the inner path. It turned out to be a two horse affair with Happy Guy and Vijay Vidhata engaged in a keen duel with 100 metres left. Y.S.Srinath at his best extracted that extra bit out of Vijay Vidhata to nose out Happy Guy close to the winning post. Vallee Secrete was third and Commanding Boy fourth.

L.V.R.Deshmukh’s filly Et Voila (Varenar-Sayuri / Equus Stud) scored an encore in an impressive fashion in the P.M.Bokdawala Memorial Cup. Et Voila had won on debut at Bangalore and she was sent off as the hot favourite for the seven furlongs race. Racing a handy fourth till the bend Et Voila moved swiftly to grab the lead as they approached the 400 metres board and stretched out effortlessly. Strengthandbeauty finished second ahead of Limitation. Kimono filled the frame.

Deshmukh scored a double with his grey colt Mr.Baahubali (Stern Opinion-Miss Langkawi) winning the opener of the day, the Pleasure Hunt Plate. Jockey P.S.Chouhan held Mr.Baahubali in about fourth or fifth till turning for home and made his move on top of the straight. Mr.Baahubali responded readily to take over the running and Chouhan kept riding out till the finish to stay ahead of Handy Man. Secret Art and Super Racer finished third and fourth respectively.

R.H.Sequeira trained Eternal Gift (Black Cash-Apertini) pulled off a surprise in the Wanaparthy Cup. Advocate General that had won a 1200 metres sprint earlier was installed as the firm favourite for the shorter scurry. The grey was in touch with the front bunch all the way but did not respond when asked to quicken on the straight and finished a tame fourth. Eternal Gift improved well from behind to sweep past the front runners mid-way up the straight and drew clear to register a fine win. Symbol Of Pride after leading all the way ended up second ahead of Roi’s Cruise.

Fancied runners went down in both the divisions of the Kalamaris Plate. Sk Kassam trained Pamella (Princely Heir-Allocate) won the higher division. Platinum led early from Bouncer and Pamela moved quickly to be in third from the outermost draw. Mid-way up the straight Bouncer forged ahead to take it up. Pamella began to challenge from the outside and sped past in the last 100 metres to win by three parts of a length. The favourite Masti was a tame third followed by Pentagon.

K.Satheesh trained Mighty Swing (Noverre-Farmer’s Swing) pulled it off in the lower division in a three way close finish. Mighty Swing raced in about eighth well behind the front runners. Inside the last 100 metres there was a rush towards the front. Mighty Swing came up with a sizzling gallop widest of all and beat Western Wind by a neck. Royal Dynamite was third another head away. Matica finished fourth.
