Trainer Laxman Singh leading Policy Maker (Rohit Kumar Up), winner of The A P Race Horse Owners Association Trophy

Laxman Singh trained Policy Maker (Home Affairs-Admiration / Mebajeona Stud) won the A.P.Race Horse Owners Association Trophy in a new course record timing over the nine furlongs distance at Malakpet, Hyderabad. Apprentice Rohit Kumar who earned the first win of his career took the 6 years old gelding to the front straightaway from the start. Greek Star raced second and Found Money settled in third another four lengths away. They were followed by Aventus, Blue Eyed Babe and Woman O War. Entering the straight Policy Maker continued to be in control and stretched out well to win unchallenged. Found Money rallied on in second while the fancied Woman O War could only land up in third.

The track was set ablaze by K.S.V.Prasad Raju schooled Dream Girl (Roi Maudit-Casual Look) in the Camino Cup. The filly won the 1100 metres scurry in a new course record timing of 1:05.81secs. Having won on debut Dream Girl was installed as an on-money favourite for its second start. The speedy filly shot to the lead as the gates opened and led all the way to win by a lengthening margin. Dragonstone, Queen To Rule and Green Striker filled the frame in that order.

M.Sathyanarayana trained City Of Wonders (Varenar-Passion) won the Raja R J K Ranga Rao, Zamindar Of Chikkavaram Memorial Cup. Golden Angel and Legacy Machine came in together on the straight. Princess Hina took the shortest way and slipped in to the lead approaching the last 200 metres. City Of Wonders began to move up from the outside and surged ahead to wrap it up by a length and a half. Shivalik Bird and Golden Angel finished third and fourth respectively.

True Pearl (Tejano-Sea Spray) that had only one win against its name from 33 starts picked up enough speed on the straight to win the Elite Zone Plate and give trainer Sathyanarayana his first win for the day. Bouncer had taken over from a weakening Racing Ruler inside the last 300 metres. True Pearl was getting stronger from the outside and with a final burst of speed sped past Bouncer. Rocky Hill finished third and Coral Springs fourth.

L.V.R.Deshmukh schooled Mr.Baahubali (Stern Opinion-Miss Langkawi) won the opener of the day, the Tick Tock Plate in an impressive fashion. Chasing Magical Skill till the top of the straight Mr.Baahubali forged ahead effortlessly and drew clear with the jockey P.S.Chouhan having the luxury of looking back before easing his mount well before the winning post. The short priced favourite Doroteo could only finish second in front of Magical Skill.

Laxman Singh led in his double through Veronese (Bushranger-Verbania / Nanoli Stud) in the Paradis Plate. Monte Rosa set out in front followed by Mahathi, Veronese and the rest. Mid-way up the straight Mahathi surged ahead of Monte Rosa. Veronese started galloping strongly from the outside and with a sustained run collared Mahathi and went ahead by half a length at the finish. Monte Rosa stayed on in third with Own Battle filling the frame.
