Chasing Wild wings till the final bend Lady In Lace took charge on top of the straight and extended well. Tootsie Roll ridden by Trevor covered some ground from behind but ran a bit green and could only be the runner-up. Zelus and Creator finished third and fourth respectively.

Alameda (Amadeus Wolf-Bombala / Mebajeona Stud) that had not won for a little over a year now denied the favourite Western Wind a win in the Solitaire Plate. Greek Star went to the lead over the mile trip and Alameda was up in chase followed by the rest. Inside the last 400 metres Alameda surged ahead to take over the running. Western Wind began to gallop strongly from the outside with the lead diminishing with every stride but Trevor got the top weight to hold on by a neck at the finish. Greek Star stayed on in third.

Dancing Leaf (Arazan-Dancing Image) won the Star Of Gwalior Cup. The filly was the best out of the gates but settled in third when Paprika went clearly ahead to lead followed by Dream Girl. Trevor started to work on Dancing Leaf on entering the straight and the filly responded well to surge past the front runners’ mid-way up the straight and drew clear. Dream Vision beat the rest while Dream Girl got the better of Paprika for the third place.

Netto’s ward Batur (Chinese Whisper-Da Vinci Rose) that had failed narrowly in the last start pulled it off in the Pocharam Cup. Pentagon got to the front as the gates opened and came in first on the straight followed by Mandy and Batur. Mandy was the first to target Pentagon and went ahead inside the last 300 metres. Batur gathered momentum inside the last 200 metres and with Trevor in full swing sped past to wrap it up by three parts of a length.

R.H.Sequeira trained Jem Star (Charmo-Jazzego) just about scrapped through from the favourite Man Of The Series in the Cyndy Plate, the concluding race of the day.
