EXCLUSIVE WIND GOES A MILE TO GET A HAT-TRICK

Trainer Anupam Sharma leading Exclusive Wind (P Trevor Up), winner of The Telangana Cup

Anupam Sharma trained Exclusive Wind (Ravel-Calliope) who is in pink of condition completed a hat-trick in the Telangana Cup. With two successive wins over 1400 metres and 1200 metres, the 4 years old gelding was sent off as the on-money favourite for the mile trip. After a good start Exclusive Wind settled nicely along the rails when Flower Roll Up passed the field from the outside to get to the front. Greek Star made a quick move passing the 800 metres to get behind the leader and was soon in front on top of the straight. Jockey Trevor started to work on Exclusive Wind and brought the favourite alongside Greek Star. The two fought a keen tussle and Exclusive Wind overhauled the much older Greek Star by a quarter of a length. Sensei was finishing on being third ahead of Morning Miracle.

Trainer D.Netto saddled a double through Princess Of Dreams and Sea Castle. The lesser fancied runner from the stable Sea Castle (Green Coast-Ice Castle) bounced back to win the Secunderabad Club Cup in a close finish involving three horses. Taking a good jump from an inward draw Sea Castle settled well in fourth behind Silver Dollar, Apache Gal and Dream Vision. On entering the straight Dream Vision moved swiftly to grab the lead and the stable mate Sea Castle was up with a challenge. The two went all out and Sea Castle emerged victorious from the fast finishing Ans Ans Ans. Dream Vision ended up third.

Princess Of Dreams (Arazan-Placid) decimated the opposition en-route to an encore in the Sunny Blossom Plate. A winner over seven furlongs, the filly was supported strongly to be the on-money favourite for the extended trip of a mile. Racing in about third behind Cash For Rank and Telangana Queen. The filly showed urgency even before the bend and was in the lead on top of the straight. Striding out freely in front Princess Of Dreams was eased up well before the winning post by Louis Beuzelin. Darakshan Setarah, Telangana Queen and Cash For Rank filled the frame in that order. New Comer and Super Grey were withdrawn before the race.

K.R.K.Raju trained Bouncer (Ontario-Priceless Princess), a 10-1 shot surprised the field in the Perceived Value Plate. Shooting off to the lead from draw one Bouncer built up a sizable lead and was over five lengths of the nearest challenger passing the 300 metres board. The 6 years old looked to be slowing down getting closer to the winning post but the good lead helped the gelding to keep three lengths at the finish. Nelly, Golden Phoenix and Roma Rouge finished second, third and fourth respectively.

The consistent Vijay’s Dynamite (Ravel-Therry Girl) from Laxman Singh’s stables scored an effortless win in the Mount Everest Plate. Chasing Garib Parwar till mid-way up the straight Vijay’s Dynamite moved alongside and drew away easily imside the last 150 metres. Garib Parwar stayed on in second while Vijays Honour and Ikigai filled the frame in that order. Good Taste was a non-starter in the race.

L.V.R.Deshmukh’s filly Eternal Angel (Serious Spender-Polenta) scored an impressive maiden win in the Aberader Plate. Having finished on board in the two terms races Eternal Angel took charge passing the 1000 metres marker and never looked behind. Star Gazer moved to second inside the final furlong but found the winner striding clear and settled as runner-up. Rutilant and You Can I Can finished third and fourth respectively.

Deshmukh scored a back to back double through Samba (Varenar-Takestwototango) in the division I of the Twin Star Plate. The filly tracked Cannon Hope right from the start and passing the distance marker forged ahead and picked up speed to draw away. Cannon Hope stayed on in second while Supurinto finished third many lengths away. Touch Of Gold ended up fourth.

 In the lower division M.Srinivas Reddy trained Valee Tiger (Whatsthescript-Reflectance) justified the favouritism en-route to a maiden win. Handily in second behind Molon Labe Valee Tiger grabbed the lead inside the last 400 metres and kicked on even as Star Ruby came charging from way behind and looked to slip in along the rails. Whisper finished on in third ahead of Invasion. Ta Ta was a non-starter in the race.
