Trainer D Netto leading Dream Vision (Louis Beuzelin Up), winner of The M.C.E.M.E. Rolling Trophy Div-1

D.Netto trained Dream Vision (Mathematecian-Crown Vision) produced a sparkling turn of foot in the last 200 metres to win the division I of the M.C.E.M.E. Rolling Trophy, the main event of Sunday’s races at Hyderabad. The consistent Dream Vision that had not gone off the board in its eight starts was sent off as the on-money favourite for the 1200 metres sprint. Racing in fifth rounding for home Dream Vision ranged up strongly from the outside and with a dazzling spurt shot between horses and skipped away. Dream Girl, Bharat Queen and Ragas Ajalias finished together in that order for the minor places.

N.Ravinder Singh trained Without Makeup (Green Coast-Passion In The Park) scored an encore in the lower division. The filly raced down the order in the early part and was in seventh turning for home. In the last 300 metres Platinum that was in front from the start was trying hard to hold on with Big Flash also working hard. Without Makeup began to get stronger when asked for an effort from around the field and swept past the front runners to land the spoils. Big Flash finished a clear second ahead of Platinum and Manoveg.

Anupam Sharma trained Mangalyaan Ravel-Dandiya) scored a facile win in the division I of the Grace And Strength Plate. It took exactly a year for the chestnut gelding to get to the winner’s circle after its last success. Mangalyaan settled in about fourth along the rails while Flower Roll Up led the pack followed closely by Tinsel Town and Greek Star. On entering the straight jockey P.Ajeeth Kumar found the path in front opening up and guided Mangalyaan through that. When shown the daylight Mangalyaan raised a fluent gallop and drew clear after taking charge early on the straight. Morning Miracle made a late bid but could only finish second ahead of Flower Roll Up while Vista ended up fourth.

In the lower division of the race L.V.R.Deshmukh trained Tiger (Astronomer Royal-Seasham) emerged on top but had to work for it, keeping at bay the favourite Western Wind. Tiger was the smartest out of the gates and shot ahead to lead the field. Passing the 1000 metres the stable mate Movie Moghual rallied from the outside and slipped to the front. Once the field showed up on the straight Tiger picked up speed and regained the lead once again. Western Wind started to challenge inside the last 200 metres but Tiger kicked on under Akshay Kumar and held on by a slender margin. O Ms Akhila managed to edge out Movie Moghual for the third place.

Trainer Anupam Sharma reaped rich with a quadruple. Al Sadr, Bharat Queen and Amazing Venus were the other victors from the stable. Al Sadr (Pinson-Fascinating Lady) had to work hard to snatch the win from longshot Valee Tiger in the Republic Plate. Approaching the last 200 metres Valee Tiger surged ahead and grabbed the lead. Al Sadr also moved up from the outside and joined Valee Tiger. The two fought the last 150 metres and Al Sadr managed to edge out Valee Tiger by a short-head at the wire. Vijays Splendour and Samba were together for the third and fourth places respectively.

Bharat King (Hymn-Broken Silence), a 10-1 shot won the division I of the Amarnath Gupta Memorial Cup. Dandy Girl went on a start to finish bid over the seven furlongs trip and Bharat King settled to chase the leader. Apprentice B.R.Kumar started to push Bharat King vigorously on the straight and the gelding inched closer from the outside and forged clear in the closing stages. Grand Canyon and Legend fought out and finished third and fourth respectively in a close finish.

Apprentice B.R.Kumar was once again astride Amazing Venus (Green Coast-Look At Venus) in the division I of the Mossy Banks Plate. The filly jumped out smartly from an outward draw and rushed to lead the field. Prime Time was in close attendance all through and began to close up inside the last 200 metres. Amazing Venus was pushed hard by Kumar to hold on by a neck from Prime Time at the finish. In Command and Symbol Of Gold filled the frame in that order.

Laxman Singh schooled Raajneeti (Mull Of Kintyre-Safinaz) opened her account in the Red Rufus Plate, a mile race for maiden 3 year old horses. The filly led early and settled in second when Supremo took over the running past the 1400 metres board. Inside the last 250 metres Supremo was joined by Rajneeti in the centre and Lost And Found the widest of all. The three were all out in the last 100 metres and Rajneeti stuck her neck out at the wire with Lost And Found and Supremo finishing second and third respectively. Somerset also charged in late to finish fourth in the same picture frame.

K.S.V.Prasad Raju’s Sensational Girl (Top Class-Sensational Star) won the opening event of the day, the Royal Prince Plate.  The race favourite Buckshee set off on a start to finish bid and looked good on the straight. Sensational Girl improved places and was up with a challenge mid-way up the straight. The filly headed past Buckshee with 100 metres left and won by a length and quarter. Green Love and Steyn Memories finished third and fourth respectively.
