The Chevalier Trophy, a mile race for horses rated 60 and above had attracted a small field of seven runners. P.C.Tejaswi trained Naval Glory (Champs Elysees-Wooden Doll / Nanoli Stud) that had showed out while winning in the lower class on the opening day of the season was sent off as the favourite. Script Writer also had a fare share of supporters being the second in demand. It was Class Is Class that went to the front and tried hard to make every post a winning one. Improving gradually as they turned for home Naval Glory got on the haunches of Class Is Class nearing the distance post and sped past inside the last 100 metres to score an encore. Script Writer travelled in the rear till showing up on the straight and improved to finish third ahead of Storming Home.

Trainer Tejaswi saddled a back to back double with his ward Lucky Pineapple (Phoenix Tower-Miss Danehill / Villoo’s Greenfield Stud) producing a stunning upset in the Arakalgudu Plate. The last time Lucky Pineapple had seen the winning post was at Pune before shifting base almost two years ago. In a fast clip the gelding started to chase the leader Zidaan and on entering the straight grabbed the lead quickly. Markus Sittikus made a strong bid from the outside and Ascendency also poked through between the two. The three went all out till the post and Lucky Pineapple held on gallantly by a neck from Ascendency while the favourite Markus Sittikus ended up third a short-head adrift. Platinum Pearl finished on fourth.

Trainer M.Bobby had a double through Untapable and Flaming Spear.  Bay filly Untapable (Sussex-Pound Foolish / Pratap Stud) with the benefit of three runs shed its maiden ranks in the Bidadi Plate. First timer At The Top garnered maximum support in the betting to be the overwhelming favourite among the six contenders. The favourite looked good in the last 300 metres when he shot ahead to take charge from Eyez Hypnotize but failed to kick on and fizzled out soon. Untapable went ahead thereafter and thwarted the valiant effort of Star Gunns to notch up by a neck. At The Top dropped out to finish third while the early leader Eyez Hypnotize finishedfourth.

Flaming Spear (Whatsthescript-Desert Native / Manju Meadows Stud) opened its account in the division I of the Sutlej Plate. Deltin showed some early speed to get to the front and enjoyed a good lead of almost four lengths entering the home stretch. Deltin started to shorten the strides inside the last 300 metres and Flaming Spear who had moved to be second by then took charge readily and kicked on till the post. Silver Wood and Cool Dude fought for the minor places and ended up second and third respectively. Country’s Sepoy finished fourth and the favourite Safe Bet was never in the hunt and ended in the ruck. Little Brown Jug was a non-starter.    

Bipin V Salvi trained Superlite (Rebuttal-Supernova / Vikram Greenlands) broke the shackles in the lower division to register a maiden win. Racing in about fourth till approaching the final bend Superlite began to improve and was up with a challenge along with the favourite Precious Script on the straight. The two fought out the last 100 metres and Superlite surged ahead to wrap it up by three parts of a length. Micron Yaacow rallied on in third followed by Break On Thru. Coffee Time was a non-starter and Always Resolute was withdrawn near the gates after being troublesome.

 Vishal Yadav trained Dare The Don (Varenar-Balance De Power / Equus Stud) that had shown return to form having finished in the money over the last two runs this season made every post a winning one in the division I of the Chaitanya Chakram Plate. Dare The Don burst to the front after jumping out from an outward draw and got to the rails quickly. Inside the last furlong Dare The Don continued to stay ahead and held on by three parts of a length from Mr.Carpe who made a late futile bid. Chase The Ace rallied on in third with Tobin filling the frame.

Michael Eshwer trained Be Ready (Holy Roman Emperor-Meydana / Manjri Stud) scored an encore in a facile manner in the lower division of the Chaitanya Chakram Plate. Al Dhama went to the front early in its customary fashion and Be Ready settled nicely to track the leader. Approaching the last 300 metres apprentice M. Abhilash gave the go-ahead to Be Ready and the 5 years old gelding sped past from the outside in an authoritative manner. Dr.Scully came up strongly from behind to fight for the runner-up berth and just got the nod from Al Dhama on the post. Reach The Stars filled the frame.
