Lady In Lace (Chinese Whisper-Sea Spray / Tohana Stud) a bay filly owned and trained by K.S.V.Prasad Raju that had won two races on the trot at Bangalore made it three in a row, winning the richly endowed Hazara Stud Golconda Juvenile Million – Gr.3 at Malakpet, Hyderabad. The filly settled easily in third while Fashion High set the ball rolling followed by Tootsie Roll. Turf Star followed the ‘Lady’ with Windsor Forest and Meritocracy in tow. Approaching the last 300 metres Lady In Lace started to gain ground with jockey Y.S.Srinath not having to do anything extra and the filly stretched out impressively. Windsor Forest just managed to hold out Turf Star for the second place while Meritocracy finished on in fourth.

The speedy Paprika (Tariq-Encouragement)  from trainer L.V.R.Deshmukh’s stables won yet again in the Wanaparthy Cup. Veteran jockey R.J. Hannam forced his way as the gates opened and got to the front with Paprika. On the home stretch Paprika continued to kick on and scored an encore as Dancing Leaf followed the filly all the way from the start. Seven Colours and Dream Girl finished third and fourth respectively. Aragonda Princess was a non-starter in the race.

Another speedy customer from the stable, Masti (Echo Of Light-Mustarde) gave Deshmukh and Hannam a double in the division II of the Dashmesh Stud Plate. Enjoying a good lead right from the word ‘go’ Masti stretched out in resounding manner to pull away from the rest. Blue Eyed Babe, Delta Force and Wonder Eye followed the winner in that order. Torremolinos was withdrawn in the race.

Anupam Sharma trained Sketch Of Beauty (Black Cash-Wisdom Queen) justified the favouritism in the lower division. Jumping out smartly from the outermost draw Sketch Of Beauty settled nicely in second behind Legacy Machine within the first furlong. Passing the 400 metres board on the straight Sketch Of Beauty headed past the leader effortlessly and thwarted the late bid of Island Bird, Gayle Force and Legend, all three of whom finishing on closely in that order.

Visiting jockey P. Trevor had just one success coming his way through L.D’Silva trained Supremo (Green Coast-Supreme Discovery) in the opener of the day, the Nizam Sagar Cup.  The bottom weighted Valee Tiger set out in front to lead and Supremo after some initial shuffling settled behind the leader. Trevor stepped on the accelerator as soon as they turned for home and shot to the front. The bay colt kicked on till the end and won by a length from Treasure Striker who came with a flourish from way behind. Secret Art and Euro Zone filled the frame in that order.

S.S. Faisal Hassan trained China Millennium (China Visit-Lei / Usha Stud) who had a stint at Bangalore this summer shed its maiden ranks in the division I of the Noble Quest Cup. Turning for home in the six furlongs sprint Inzaire, Rose Petal and News O’Star spread out in a line. The two fancied runners Heaven Can Wait and China Millenium were alighted to the task at the same juncture on top of the straight. Heaven Can Wait came under pressure soon and faltered while China Millenium picked up momentum and surged ahead of News O’Star. Starlight and Exclusive Striker slipped in through the rails to finish second and third respectively in a photo finish. News O’Star ended up being fourth.

In the lower division M. Sathyanarayana trained Sweet Pistol (Green Coast-Raomancing) was ridden well by K. Sai Kiran to stay ahead of Turf Legend at the finish. Racing a handy third behind Royal Green and Snow Castle till entering the straight Sweet Pistol covered up ground from the outside and took charge. With 100 metres left from the wire Turf Legend came threateningly close along the rails but Sai Kiran kept his cool and pushed Sweet Pistol till the finish to pull it off. Far Sight was beatenthird ahead of Rutilant. Marina Del Rey was withdrawn before the race.

Sk Waseem Ahmed trained Rainbow Blues (Arabian Gulf-Londoner) who was winless from 24 starts finally made it in the division I of the Best Of Bold Plate. Going on a start to finish bid over the mile trip Rainbow still enjoyed a good lead coming into the final furlong. As the winning post neared Icing On The Came came with a fast run from way behind but the wire came to the rescue of Rainbow Blue who clung on by a short-head. Jayin finished third ahead of Aalishaan.

Laxman Singh trained Southern Promise (Multidimensional-Star Of China) who was sent in as the on-money favourite in the Kalamaris Plate gave some anxious moments to her supporters on the straight but made it up with some quick gallop to justify the support. Palisades Park showed good speed to charge ahead as the gates opened and went on a start to finish bid. Inside the last 150 metres Southern Promise took the shortest way to improve position and once on the haunches of Palisades Park, was pulled out and the filly responded with a good turn of foot to settle the issue. Sweetie Pie came charging from the outside to finish a close third.
