Laxman Singh trained Seven Eleven (Lord Admiral-Celesta / Sans Craintes Stud) raised a spirited gallop down the final stretch in the Shavan Kumar Memorial Cup to beat Champion Bull. As the field of ten turned for home, the stable companions Composure and Meritocracy were ahead of the rest but Rose Eternal grabbed them from the outside soon. Champion Bull came up strongly to get to the front and was looking to justify the favouritism when Seven Eleven ridden by S S Tanwar devoured ground to flash past and hit the winning post three parts of a length ahead. Palace On Wheels and City Of Sails filled the frame in that order.

Trainer Arjun Anne had a profitable day, sending out a double to be in the race for the championship contest with Laxman Singh and K. Satheesh. Mr Bruss and Dolce were the victors from the stable. Debutante Mr Bruss was impressive while winning the division II of the H.P. Mistry Memorial Cup. The bay colt raced closed behind the leader Baywatch Babe till into the home stretch and when the rider K. Sai Kiran gave a couple of cracks, picked up momentum and raced ahead. Soul Empress was travelling towards the finish to be the runner-up followed by That’s My Magic and Baywatch Babe.

Dolce (Hymn-Ivona) that had not seen the winning post for over a year, cleared the Twin Star Plate by a good margin. The 7 year old mare after a smart jump out chased the leader Jem Star till the last 400 metres and surged ahead to take charge. Ridden by Sai Kiran, Dolce extended the lead and was clear with Kohinoor Lucy moving into second. Top Sprint ran into third followed by Jem Star.

In the higher division of the H P Mistry Memorial Cup, bay filly Solar Heights (Abbeyside-Epic) from trainer R H Sequeira’s stables made a winning start to her career. The filly was quick to improve from an outward draw and was racing a handy fourth. Ursula was the first to take the initiative on entering the straight but she was fighting a losing battle as Air Salute and Solar Heights charged to the front almost together and the latter drew clear by a length and a half. Wings Of Eagles and Super Act finished third and fourth respectively.

Zoheb Shaikh trained Good Opinion (Stern Opinion-Chiquelle) started the day with a popular win in the division I of the Secunderabad Plate. The bay gelding fought for his head with Mean Machine in the early stages of the race and got to the lead before turning for home. Good Opinion had an useful lead entering the straight and that came in handy as Rajneeti started to eat into the lead but fell short by a neck at the finish. Lord Gift came into money with Mean Machine dropping out to fourth. Apowerx was withdrawn before the race.

Sk Kassam trained Soaring Sensex (Stern Opinion-Sekmeta) opened her account in the lower division of the race. The grey filly was along the rails in about fourth while Good Strike and Platinum Claasz disputed the lead. Inside the last 300 metres Soaring Sensex looked for a run along the rails but finding the gap closing up jockey Akshay Kumar pulled her out and the filly responded readily to get to a winning gallop. Snow Castle, Jumeira Express and Good Strike filled the frame in a close finish.

K.S.V. Prasad Raju trained Charlie Brown (Mull Of Kintyre-Ocean Crest) bounced back to winning ways in the higher division of the Sunny Blossom Plate. The gelding was in pursuit of the leader Western Express and then stormed ahead approaching the last 300 metres. As they came in sight of the winning post Man Of The Series and Aston Doulton closed up the gap but could only finish second and third respectively. Western Express completed the frame. Royal Hero and Sher Afgan were non-starters in the race.

Sk Waseem Ahmed trained Time To Climb (Carnival Dancer-Native Princess) won the lower division. The gelding was taken to the front by Akshay Kumar and stayed well up with the pace from the start. Once on the straight Time To Climb stretched out to extend the lead and raced clear even as Princess moved to be second ahead of Gayle Force. My Windfall completed the frame.
