Turning Point (Surfrider – Avec Plaisir, Ruia Stud) produced a late but effective finishing burst and spoiled the party for Moonshine to snatch victory on the last stride. It was building up nicely as Flag Flying led them into the straight and was kicking on when Moonshine started to wear the leader down. Allora galloped along the rails. Turning Point was tardy at the start but had brushed up along the way and she was in striking position on the wider outside. Inside the final furlong, Moonshine looked good having gotten past Flag Flying; Allora was fighting hard to stay in contention, while Turning Point was making her presence felt.

The four were closely huddled with 100 to go and Moonshine with having the slight advantage with the winning post fast approaching. Turning Point however, turned the tables on Moonshine with a last ditch burst to pip Moonshine on the post. Flag Flying and Allora dead-heated for the third, adding to the thrill of a closely run race.

Carnival (Mull of Kintyre – Change Tack, Sohna Stud) pulled off a neat start to finish victory. Taking off at a good pace over the mile, Carnival enjoyed a good lead all the way right into the straight. Favourite Brabourne always in second, started to inch closer. The pair fought the length of the straight with Carnival always maintain a narrow lead right through. Brabourne did everything possible but Carnival stayed stubbornly ahead galloping on relentlessly to successfully keep Brabourne at bay.

Bronx (China Visit – Blue Ridge, Usha Stud) needed just one outing to get into the groove and showed tremendous improvement over his debut last month. He was up in front just behind leader Bhaktawar, alongside Vitesse and Grand Tenton as the wheeled round the turn.

Bronx went all out seeking the early advantage in the homestretch and then accelerated confidently to build up a handy lead. Grand Tenton failed to match the speed and took his time warming up which worked out well for Bronx who booted home the early advantage to stay clearly ahead in the final furlong. Bronx won by just under three lengths to score his memorable maiden victory. Grand Tenton will have to wait another day for his own. Bhaktawar held on to take the third place.

Apprentice jockey G Amit had a good day at office pulling off a lucrative double. He first partnered Hormuz Antia’s Bohemian (Total Gallery – Citi Star, Badal Stud) to a well-earned victory. She swung into action soon on leading then into the straight. She had Abraxas close behind and then Beyond Forces switched lanes to throw in a challenge. Bohemian galloped on resolutely to stay ahead even as Beyond Forces was giving it his all and inching closer. In the end, Bohemian held on gamely to thwart the challenge and win with a narrow margin from Beyond Forces. Financier did well to beat Abraxas for the place money.

G Amit struck again in the very next race with Rincon (Mull of Kintyre – Landmine, Sohna Stud). He had it much easier this time as Rincon quickened well in the final furlong to shut out the issue quickly once he got going.

Favourite Dixieland entered the straight with a good lead but failed to capitalized on a good start. Rincon warmed up nicely and started to catch up with Dixieland midway up the straight. He took charge in the final furlong and then stretched out nicely to snuff the fight off his rivals. He won drawing away in the hands of G Amit. Polyneices beat We Break The Rules for the runner-up berth.

Royal Mews (Arakan – Zarda, Nanoli Stud) final achieved her maiden success on her 10th start with apprentice K Nazil in the saddle.

Arabian Storm fell back soon after leading them in as Ridgewood Star got past to take charge briefly. Bounty Queen shaped well as she snatched the lead and darted ahead towards the winning post. Fribourg made his charge from the outside but Royal Mews tore through between horses working up smooth acceleration and looked far superior to the rest when she sped ahead in the last 100 meters. She bounded forward to win convincingly and an encore is quiet possible .Fribourg beat Bounty Queen for the second slot.

For the professionals, trainer Faisal Abbas saddled a double while apprentice jockey G Amit scored a double.
