Trainer Darius Byramji leading Secretive Force (S Zervan Up), winner of The Squanderer Trophy

Darius Byramji, who is happily maintaining his winning streak this summer proudly led in Secretive Force, thewinner of the Squanderer Trophy, the plum event run over a distance of 2000 metres on the eve of the Maharaja's Cup. The winner who won his last start in emphatic fashion after running Ambrosio close on the opening day was the public rage offered at miserly odds (8/10) and the overwhelming favourite justified the confidence of the followers of form streaking ahead in the hands of Zervan after tracking the leader Angelino for most part of the exacting journey. Point To Prove did well to gain the runner-up with a long-stretch run while Angelino edged out Mr Handsome `nose' separating them for the third spot. Secretive Force is in rousing form and is likely to complete a hat-trick of wins when saddled next over an energy-sapping trip. Indian Pharoah from the stables of Padmanabhan appears to have gone of the boil and it will do punters a world of good if they ignore this Padmanabhan ward until he regains his winter form.

The Arjun Manglorkar schooled Winall, who was the toast of all the track reporters, was strongly fancied to score in the opening event, the Mount Everest Plate despite the fact that in her maiden attempt the goodtype of youngster was up against a couple of decent performers. But the moment Harbour Sunrise from leading trainer Prasanna Kumar's yard was withdrawn, punters went bang-bang on the public choice and the Arjun ward in the hands of Sandesh showed a clean pair of heels to her seven rivals winning without really extending herself. Ozark from Sulaiman's yard hung on gamely to take the second spot ahead of the grey Silver Swift while Sun Splash raced in patches before making the frame.

The M R Singh-trained Track Striker, who has been performing consistently recorded his second win this season, coming up tops in the Galilee Plate run over a mile. The favourite piloted by Hyderabad ace Akshay Kumar, who at one stage looked in a spot of bother as the lesser fancied Inky Black from the stables of Neil Darashah established a decent lead, warmed up at the all-important end to snuff out the challenge of Inky Black to the delight of the punters. After Hours came home third while Gold Mist who was strongly fancied in place flopped badly and finished in the ruck.

The lesser fancied Singhsaab from Praveen Jesu's yard made every post a winning one in the Brave Dancer Plate run over a sprint. Apprentice Md.Asif Khan produced a copybook race on the winner, keeping his cool in the final furlong and successfully pegging back the late charge of Dallas to emerge a deserving winner. Arrogance finished a suggestive third ahead of Dreams United while the favourite Duty Call from Inayathullah's yard was never in the hunt.

The topweighted Castaway from Dominic's yard and the Satish Narredu schooled Treasure Delight topped the betting board in the P V Shetty Memorial Trophy, the principal added attraction run over a sprint. The former strongly piloted by Pradeep Chouhan gained the day edging out the leader Cadillac and Treasure Delight close home. Treasure Delight finished second ahead of Cadillac while Fair Warning filled the frame. Now that Castaway has resumed her winning ways she is set to provide an encore.

The concluding event, the Nanoli Stud Stakes run over a mile produced a pulse-pounding finish, the second in demand at the betting ring, Australis from Satish Narredu's yard powerfully piloted by Trevor Patel edging out the on-money favourite Foi Et Amour from Padmanabhan's yard at the shadow of the winning post. Last start winner Candlelightqueen expectedly saved place money.
