Sivappa Elected KROA President

D Vinod Sivappa has been elected the President of the Karnataka Race-Owners Association (KROA) for the year 2008-09. KR Swamy got the post of Vice-President. The election for the new Managing Committee was held during the Annual General Meeting of the Association on August 11, 2008 at Hotel Atria, Bangalore.
Arvind Raghavan has been elected the Honorary Secretary of KROA, while L. Shivashankar will be the Honorary Treasurer. The newly elected Committee Members are Harpreet Singh Rana, B.M. Rajasekhar, Irfan Ghatala, Vijeth Bhandari, T.N. Narahari Raju, B.L. Sanjeev Kumar and C Surya Narayan Shetty.
Dr Vijay Mallya, who had been President of KROA last year, did not file his nomination this year. Ashok Raghavan also stepped down from the office of Honorary Secretary of the Association just before the election after six years in office, and didn’t contest the election.
