The Arjun Manglorkar schooled Kambaku who was declared a winner after the Chennai challenger My Opinion was disqualified after winning in his last essay beat My Opinion in the Governor's Cup to record his second straight success. The four to one shot tracked the nohoper Steinlight for most part of the 2000 metres trip before Srinath setalight the Arjun ward and Kambaku responding gamely to his master's call assumed command before pegging back My Opinion in the final furlong. Steinlight hung on to take the third spot ahead of Psychic Force.

This victory, second from his three starts this season suggests that Air Command is maintaining form can add one more before the curtains are brought down. Noah's Ark who had finished a close second behind Side Winder in his last essay again gained the runner-up berth while the much improved Good Earth finished third.

Darshan who piloted Noah's Ark earlier recorded a double winning the opening event on the well supported Duxton and the second in demand at the betting ring, Kvasir in the next event.

Knocking at the door all through the Bangalore summer season, Duxton came good in the lower division of the J Tyrrell Memorial Plate cruising home without really extending himself. Scarlet Princess finished second ahead of Desert Angel while Aerospeeed filled the frame. Now that Duxton has entered the winners' circle, it will pay to follow him again next time out.

Kvasir from Pradeep Annaiah's yard looked a picture of fitness at the parade ring,. but yet the followers of form chose to pin their hopes on Spanish Beauty who clearly is not at  her best. In her last effort she failed to beat Sun Power and up against Kvasir who looked good, all that Spanish Beauty could do was to follow Kvasir home. Last start winner Tokyo Rose found Kvasir and Spanish Beauty too hot to handle and could only manage to save place money.

On the strength of his impressive showing in her last essay Brabourne was fancied most in the Maj.Sardar L Mahadevaiah Memorial Trophy run over a distance of seven furlongs and the Sajid ward justified the confidence of her supporters in the hands of Kiran Rai. El Tycoon finished a creditable second ahead of Vijaya Arjun while Thea's Gift took the fourth spot.
In the upper division of the J Tyrell Memorial Plate, the ten to one shot Pink Smile from trainer Sharath Kumar's yard helped John record a double snuffing out the challenge of Fotogenic. Rajveer from Bobby's yard was backed heavily but after hitting the front and dictating the pace, the public rage shortened his strides in the final furlong and eventually finished in the ruck. Intrepid Warrior piloted by Imran Chisty gained the third spot ahead of Abhinandan.

Colonel Harty was touted a good bet by most old hats in the game. The Narayan Gowda ward was backed down to even money from (18/10) but the public choice met a tartar in Mint who in the hands of apprentice Mohd Mushraf romped home to the delight of the Bobby camp. Deimus finished an eye-catching third and is one for the notebook.
