Mr Inderraj Anand & trainer S Padmanabhan leading Big Sur (David Allan Up), winner of The Ashoka Chakra Cup

Four winners from two day's racing last week. A treble again on Friday, the leading trainer Padmanabhan is in top form. So too his winter partner David Allan who has booted home five of the seven and is looking to add many more to the list in the weeks ahead. The duo first struck through the favourite Kerazano in the Racing Patrons Trophy. A couple of old hats in the game were of the opinion that the talented colt who registered a hat-trick would find the sprint trip sharp but the in-form Padmanabhan ward produced a sparkling gallop in the final furlong to snuff out the challenge of the speedy Into The Groove and return home a deserving winner. The topweighted Royal Crystal from Arjun Manglorkar's yard raced in patches and finished a close third. Royal Crystal is capable of much better than what he dished out and it will pay to follow this Arjun ward in the weeks ahead.

Next in the feature event, the Ashoka Chakra Cup, David Allan astride Big Sur hit the front, set his own pace, dicatated the proceedins all through the nine furlongs journey and then held on to score from the public choice Salazaar. The Irfan Ghatala ward at one stage looked to get the measure of Big Sur but the winner gallantly pegged back the effort of the favourite to put David and Padmanabhan in line for a treble.

Back on Knight Templar who was making his appearance after his brilliant effort in the summer Derby won by stablemate Well Connected, David Allan in no spot of bother freely allowed Knight Templar to go out in front and call the shots before romping home in style. Speedster finished second ahead of Brooklyn Supreme while Commodus disappointed most failing to even figure in the frame.

Earlier the well fancied Attorney General piloted by Srinath justified his top ranking in the upper division of the Broadacres Plate run over a sprint. The Pradeep Annaiah ward who had caught the eye in the morning trials proved too good for his nine rivals winning in effortless style. Birchwood surprised most gaining the runner-up berth ahead of Tokyo Rose while last start winner Dagobert found this company too hot to handle and had to rest content with the fourth spot.

The lower division of the event was claimed by the lesser fancied Scarlet Princess after the top fancy San Bernardino was withdrawn at the starting gates. Ryan Marshall who partnered the Sharath Kumar schooled Scarlet Princess is enjoying a good run having already booted home three winners.

The well prepared Lagarde from the stables of Sulaiman Attaollahi made a smashing debut winning the first juvenile event this season in style. David Egan pushed the fit and ready colt to the front the moment the eight runners came under the starter's flag and without raising a sweat guided the Sulaiman ward home. Mountain Lion finished second ahead of Handsome who appeared a trifle gross and will benefit most from this run under his belt.

The opening event saw the Pradeep Anniah schooled Darahasini come up tops. The winner who always has produced her best when her connections have fancied her most produced another heartwarming performance to the delight of her supporters.Gin Daisy gained the runner-up berth ahead of Kanthaka while Show Girl filled the frame.

The Kishen Thomas-trained Capstone came up trumps in the Madhugiri Plate. The winner was sweetly fancied by the insiders and the right connections. Kiran Rai produced a copybook effort on the winner who could chalk out another victory if the mare is judiciously placed in next start.
