Trainer R H Sequeira leading Ace Ace Ace (Akshay Kumar Up), winner of The T Chandrasekhar Reddy Memorial Cup

Favourite Ace Ace Ace (Win Legend - Refreshing) caused his supporters no anxiety as he notched up an easy victory to clinch the T Chandrasekhar Reddy Memorial Cup in style. Settled close behind Amazing Response and Chase Your Dreams, star jockey Akshay Kumar opened throttle on Ace Ace Ace soon on turning for home. Amazing Response did resist for a while, but Ace Ace Ace was overbearing on his stablemate and sailed past with a good measure of comfort to win drawing away in the final stages. Amazing Response kicked on gamely to ward off Titus to finish a good second.

Ace Ace Ace was the fourth winner of the day for jockey Akshay Kumar. He started his winning streak astride L D'Silva trained Diesis Dream (Hymn - Dream Dance) in the second race of the day. He had it easy as Diesis Dream gathered momentum soon on turning for home and caught up with early leader Negress Princess past the 300 m mark. Once in the lead, a couple of reminders was all the filly needed as she picked up speed and left the others far behind. Rhine tried her best to make a race of it, however, found the winner too good on the day and had to be content with the runner-up berth. Dance All Night improved towards the end to pip Negress Princess for the third spot.

Flamingo Fame (Burden of Proof - Flaming Fan) was the shortest priced favourite for the day. Akshay Kumar made all the right moves as he settled behind leader Aristocrats Charm until well into the straight. Once he decided to take charge, Akshay drove Flamingo Flame ahead midway down the straight effortlessly and then finished on on cruise mode. Akshay eased Flamingo Fame well before the winning post. Incredulous, who was detached last and more than a dozen lengths from the leader, picked up good momentum in the final furlong and finished the fastest of the rest ending on the haunches of Flamingo Fame at the post.

Akshay could be well advised to refrain from taking things for granted as in easing up too early. Even a wee bit of casual approach has the potential to spark off an unwarranted situation which can have devastating results. Well, nothing close to any such thing happened this time, but watching Incredulous finishing just 3/4 lengths behind, he would be better off taking this as subtle caution in avoiding embarrassing faux pas.

Akshay displayed more dazzle in the saddle astride Sequeira trained Soviet Pride (Air Support - Sovetskaya) while winning the Raja Narasimha Rao Memorial Cup with a scorching late dash. Victory Parade looked on course when he collard the front running Yours Forever and made a forward surge in the final furlong. However, jockey Akshay Kumar switched to the outside and urged Soviet Pride to go all out. The filly responded brilliantly and arrived with a terrific burst to catch Victory Parade in the last fifty and surge past to floor Victory Parade close home. Soviet Pride displayed blinding speed in the last few strides to shock the favourite, sparing a length at the wire. Yours Forever put in a decent effort to finish a close third.

Her Legacy (Arazan - My Lakhsmi) cantered to an easy win to win the Osman Sagar Plate Div I in the hands of jockey N Rawal. Rawal dashed off to the front with the Prasad Raju trainee and kept a tight leash on the race. Once they entered the homestretch, Her Legacy quickened sweetly and shut the opposition out within the first half of the straight. There was no worthwhile challenge whatsoever and Her Legacy won by a widening margin. California Beauty ran on to finish second nearly five lengths behind the winner, while Top Saga ended a tame third.

D Netto trained Bayrd (Ace - Sonic Symphony) justified the strong support he recieved in the betting and scored a long-pending victory. But it was not all smooth sailing for Bayrd and jockey A Imran Khan. Bayrd settled nicely in the mid-bunch but once they turned for home, leader Rutilant was free-wheeling towards the winning post. Neither Vijay's Empire nor Wood Bridge was making an impact on the leader. Bayrd had to make his way between horses and took a while getting into the clear. Rutilant still had a small cushion in the final 100 meters, however, Bayrd finished full of steam and zipped past Rutilant in the final fifty to score by a length. Rutilant saw a decent effort go down close home. Vijay's Empire stayed on to save place money.

Horus (Tenth Star - Riverbank) showed good improvement over his debut run and achieved his maiden success with a measure of comfort. Jockey Imran Khan had the firm favourite from D Netto's stables in second behind Queen Daenerys all the way into the straight. Once Imran gave him the go-ahead, Horus cruised past the leader and drew away to look the winner long way from home. Queen Daenerys had to work hard to stay ahead from the fast finishing Cheltenham for the minor placing. Lacrosse had an educative outing, ending an easy fourth.

Royal Avenger (Midnight Interlude - Lady Causeway) [picked up the last race of the day after a brief tussle midway down the straight. Run Runner Run ran out of gas once they turned for home and Patron Saint took charge briefly. Royal Avenger, trained by L D'Silva and ridden by Ajit Singh, came alongside with a challenge approaching the distance post. The pair fought hard for a few strides, before Royal Avenger pushed ahead to win drawing away. Khan Sahib did well to finish runner-up edging out Patron Saint and Royal Dancer.

For the professionals, Akshay Kumar was in his elements, winning four races, while trainers L D'Silva, Sequeira, Prasad Raju, D NEtto and jockey Imran Khan scored a double each.
