The punters enjoyed the better of exchanges, the 20 to one shot Ring Master apart, five top two fancies nailing bold colours to the mast in the six-event card. The public rage Mayne Magic from Kishan Thomas' yard proved too good in  the HH Sri Chamaraja Wadiyar Memorial Trophy and the well supported second favourite Tripitaka edged out Vijaya Falcon to come out on top in the principal added attraction, the BA Nanaiah Memorial Trophy.

On the strength of his impressive effort, third behind Dhanteras on his debut in the Bangalore summer season, Mayne Magic was touted a `good bet' in the plum event run over a distance of seven furlongs. The winner, who had improved most after his maiden effort looked a picture of fitness at the parade ring and he readily provided G Vivek an arm-chair ride to success, powering past the leader Royal Deccan and To Hot To Touch at the distance post before cruising home without unduly being extended in emphatic fashion. Carter partnered by Alex Rozario in a cluster finish, edged out To Hot To Touch to gain the runner-up berth, while Emphatic did well to finish a close fourth., Mayne Magic, it is needless to mention is in fine form and it will pay to support this Kishan trainee again in her next start and Emphatic too will be a different proposition with this educative exercise under her belt.

After three of the eight contestants were withdrawn, Ricardo and Exuberance on veterinary grounds this morning and Rapidus who was in no mood to get into the gates, Auspicious Queen from Narayan Gowda's yard was the top fancy in the BA Nanaiah Memorial Trophy. The Irfan Ghatala schooled Tripitaka piloted by Vivek too was strongly supported in the sprint event. The speedy Irfan ward hit the front and called the shots for most part of the six furlongs contest before Vijaya Falcon stormed up to challenge the leader. The two were locked in a ding-dong battle in the final furlong before Vivek managed to keep Tripitaka marginally ahead at the post, much to the relief of her supporters. Auspicious Queen's effort was too bad to be true and this Narayan Gowda ward deserves another chance.

The Santosh Rao-trained Eco System and Deemed to Fire from the stables of Appachu topped the betting board in the opening event, the Eclipse Plate run over a sprint. The latter confidently piloted by Kiran Rai tracked the nohoper Bacchus for most part of the sprint trip before Kiran Rai packed punch on the winner at the top of the straight and the Vikram Appachu ward stormed ahead and quickly put the race to bed. Mystical Merlin followed the smart winner home, while City Of Hustle managed to save money in place.

The Neil Devaney schooled Super Marvella was very strongly supported in the next event, the Kasargod Plate run over a distance of nine furlongs. The public choice in the hands of Vivek failed to raise a winning gallop and finished a tame third behind the runner-up Irish Rockstar, who too had her share of supporters. A thrilling last start winner in the Bangalore summer season Ring Master produced a stunning effort to shock the followers of form romping home nice and easy by a big margin of five lengths from Irish Rockstar, while the even-money favourite Super Marvella was lucky to finish third, ` nose' separating her from Habibti. The Azhar-trained Ring Master is on top of his game and is likely to record a hat-trick when saddled next.

The well backed Armory from Narayan Gowda's yard landed a good gamble in the Fleet Indian Plate run over a mile. The favourite Mazal Tov from Neil Devaney's yard shot his bolt soon after hitting the front at the top of the straight and finished a poor fourth. Rajesh Kumar partnering Armory assumed command soon after Mazal Tov retired and romped home an impressive winner, much to the delight of her supporters who punted big on the six-year-old mare. Free To Play did well to gain the second spot ahead of Ashwa Vedha who now looks ready to earn her cornbill in the weeks ahead.

The in-form Raise A Buck from leading trainer Rakesh's yard recorded a fine hat-trick winning the concluding event, the Fair Wood Plate in effortless style. The five to one shot Heroism followed the facile winner home  ahead of the second favourite Natural Speed, while a smart last start winner D Roman Reigns from Monnappa's yard who opened the second favourite drifted out in price and was quoted at (8/1) at the end. It was clear from the shift in  price that this Monnappa was not in the hunt and so it was, D Roman Reigns gracing the wrong end of the field for most part of the seven furlongs trip before finishing in the ruck.
