The in-form leading saddle artiste Antony Raj was at his stylish best, recording a grand treble on Friday. The top `Knight' who is enjoying success at most racing centres opened his account on the strongly supported favourite Brave Trooper from Rakesh's yard in the R Subramanya Raj Urs Memorial Trophy run over a sprint. Antony hit the front on the public choice soon after the nine runners came under the starter's flag and without unduly extending his mount cantered home to the delight of the followers of form. Absolute Challenger from Vishal Yadav's yard followed the winner home ahead of Court Jester, who was fancied `sweetly' in place and the Monnappa trainee did well to finish third ahead of the second in demand at the betting ring, Mystic Bond, who failed to display his true potential. Now that Brave Trooper has broken ice, this speedy customer from Rakesh's stable is set to score again in the winter season.

Next guiding the fortunes of the moody Irish Rockstar from Darius Byramji's yard in the Alekona Trophy run over a mile,  Antony had it easy cruising home without raising a sweat. The second favourite Armory, a facile last start winner expectedly gained the runner-up berth ahead of D Fronx, while another fancied contestant Free To Play from the stables of Kishan Thomas raced in patches and shockingly finished last in the six-horse field. Though Irish Rockstar won in impressive fashion there is no guarantee that this Darius ward will reproduce her effort next time out and that's the reason, Irish Rockstar can never be a good betting proposition.

In line for a hat-trick, Antony astride O Manchali from Rakesh's yard in the concluding event, the Hasthinapura Plate was at his best, driving home the lesser fancied winner to a convincing victory to the delight of his fans. The ten to one shot Contributor was seen finishing on fastest at end to grab the runner-up berth ahead of D Roman Reigns.

The Santosh Rao schooled The Flying Feet, who was a medium of a big gamble flopped badly and that cost his supporters dear. Second in demand at the betting ring, Benghazi was not keen and it came as no surprise when he finished down the field.

The Governor's Cup, the plum event also produced a shock result, the four to one shot Shubankar from Warren Singh's yard upsetting the applecart of the strongly fancied favourite Champions Way from Satish Narredu's yard, who continues to take good money down the drain. The favourite had earlier twice failed to justify favouritism in the Bangalore winter season over sprints which he really dosen't relish, but back at a distance he fancies to make his mark, 10 furlongs, Champions Way was outpaced by the winner cleverly piloted by Vinod Shinde.

Perfect Justice from Appachu's yard was heavily backed after he was touted as a good bet by all the insiders and right connections in the upper division of the Sunderbans Plate run over a sprint, but the overwhelming public choice found the four to one shot Magic Circle from Bipin Salvi's yard too hot to handle and had to rest content with the runner-up berth. The winner is in good nick and is certain t o provide an encore when sddled next in the winter season. Eiffel Tower finished third ahead of Mysical Merlin who continues to produce satisfactory performances.

The lower division of the event was claimed by the favourite Shadow's Aim piloted by Angad. The winner looked a picture of fitness at the parade ring before she outwitted her 11 rivals in fine style. Kalpana too had her share of followers, but found the winner a tough nut to crack. The Bobby ward after her runner-up attempt is certain to make her presence felt and earn her cornbill, when next saddled.

The Girinath schooled Inexhaustible surprised the followers of form in the Yadavagiri Plate run over a distance of seven furlongs. The winner in the hands of Kiran Rai produced a sparkling gallop to floor his 11 rivals, romping home by more than three lengths from Break Away and the favourite Natural Fly partnered by Vivek who has failed to make a mark, only four winners this season at this centre.
