The 110th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC), is scheduled to be held through Video Conferencing or other Audio Video Means on Thursday, 18 September 2025. At the AGM, voting for the election of the nine-member managing committee and two members for the body of the Board of Appeal (BoA), apart from conducting other businesses and financial matters on the club’s agenda, was to be held.  As there were no new aspirants coming forward to contest the election for the RWITC’s managing committee as also of the BoA, the same office bearers, who were elected last year, will continue to manage the affairs of India’s premier racing institution.

The turf club had invited nominations for the nine seats of the Managing Committee and for two seats for the Board of Appeal as two of its current members – Messrs Dilip P. Goculdas and Hoshang J. Nazir, were to retire by rotation this year. The last date for filing nominations was Monday, 18 August 2025. However, apart from the nine current committee members, no new nominations were received by the Secretary of the RWITC. The current members of the managing committee who decided to contest the election will be declared elected unopposed at the AGM. There were no new candidates for the (BoA) to fill the two seats at the BoA and since the retiring BoA members had offered themselves for re-election, they will also be declared unopposed.

Although there is no official confirmation, it is reliably learnt that Mr Surendra Sanas would retain the club's Chairman’s post and Mr Ram Shroff would chair the body of the Stewards of the Club, the members of which are also likely to remain the same. An official announcement to this effect as also the BoA chairman would come after the conclusion of the AGM.
