Punters enjoyed a good run. Five firm favourites including the public rage Gachchhatu from Neelesh Rawal's yard comfortably romped home and after the splendid effort of the talented filly from the Kunigal Stud Farm, chalking out her fifth straight success, back after a year long lay-off, the last two events also went in favour of the followers of form, the on-money favourite Sassy Sarah from the champion stable of Prasanna Kumar and the strongly fancied Lords Grace from trainer Gnanashekar's yard ensured that the railbirds happily carried many green sacks home.

Despite the fact that she was making a comeback after a year, Gachchhatu was the top choice in the KT Shamaiah Gowda Memorial Trophy run over a distance of seven furlongs. Neelesh sent out the quality filly spot on for the feature event and Gachchhatu provided Neeraj Rawal, who partnered her in her earlier three winning starts, an arm-chair ride to success bolting in without unduly extending herself. Power Of Beauty from trainer Pradeep Annaiah's yard followed the leader home ahead of Vishwas, while the Sulaiman schooled Lux Aeterna, back after his satisfactory effort at Malakpet (Hyderabad) performed below par and failed to even save money in place. Now that Gachchhatu is back in the winning business, she will add to the `high-five' in the weeks ahead.

A model of consistency, Cloudy Hills from Bobby's yard was surprisingly ignored in the betting ring, Ultimate Blues from the stables of Aditya garnering maximum support in the Police Trophy run over a distance of seven furlongs. The favourite partnered by the promising apprentice Mohd. Talib tracked the runaway leader Bold Show for most part of the trip before streaking ahead at the distance post only to go down fighting to the eight to one shot Cloudy Hills powerfully piloted by apprentice jockey Aleemuddin. Natural Tornado from the stables of Mansoor Khan caught the eye, while finishing a creditable third and it will pay to support this Mansoor trainee, who appears to have regained form and fitness after four listless efforts in the summer season.

The Prasanna Kumar schooled Sassy Sarah was head and shoulders above her eight rivals in the Castle Bridge Plate run over a mile and the on-money favourite confidently piloted by top gun Trevor Patel justified her top billing powering home nice and easy to the delight of all the big bettors, who nominated her as the day's best betting proposition. Sassy, who recorded a shock win in her last start in the Bangalore summer season followed the winner home ahead of Zephyrine and it will not be long before Sassy storms into the winning circle at this centre.

Excellent Warrior opened the favourite in the concluding event, the Fleet Indian Plate run over a sprint before money started pouring in on Lords Grace, in line for a hat-trick. The in-form Gnanashekar ward piloted by Ankit Pal produced a winning gallop at the all-important end to whizz past the ten to one long shot Sunway Lagoon and the hot second favourite Excellent Warrior to complete a hat-trick of wins. All credit to Gnanashekar for keeping Lords Grace in ship-shape condition, the winner thundering home with a degree of comfort after leisurely making his move in the straight.

The Aravind Ganapathy-trained Dasadyu was fancied most in the upper division of the Kasargod Plate run over a sprint. And the public choice confidently piloted by veteran pro Srinath proved too good for his 10 rivals cruising home to the delight of the Aravind camp. The lesser fancied Star Symphony followed the winner home ahead of the second in demand at the betting ring, Glowing Moonlights. 

The lower division of the event was claimed by the favourite NRI Jetpower from Md Sajid's yard. The winner, who went down fighting to Chisox in her last essay at Bangalore found this company easy to handle and powered through to score from the fast finishing She's So Beautiful who caught the eye and is one for the notebook.

The piping hot favourite Garzian from Lokanath Gowda's yard again found one better, finishing second in her fifth successive attempt. It was clearly frustrating for the owners and Lokanath, the filly after tracking the leader Como piloted by Akshay Kumar failing to get past the Sulaiman ward much to the chagrin of her large following who strongly fancied her again despite the fact that she had earned the unlucky tag after finishing second behind the speedy Born To Rise in her fourth start in the Bangalore summer season. Well after this it is dicey to stick your neck out and tip Garzian again in her next outing, taking into account that she simply is not doing enough to break the ice.
