As announced earlier by the Royal Western India Turf Club’s (RWITC), since there were no new nominations filed for the nine-member managing committee, which will govern the affairs of the turf club for 2026-27, all members of the current managing committee were declared elected unopposed. This is for the fourth time, since September 2023, that elections for the managing committee have not been held.
 
Mr Surendra R. Sanas retains his position as chairman of the club and so does Dr Ram H. Shroff as chairman of the Stewards of the Club. Mr Gulamhusein A. Vahanvaty has been elected as chairman of the Board of Appeal, which has six members on the body. The managing committee which was declared as having won unopposed at the turf club’s 111th Annual General Meeting held on Thursday, 17 September 2026, is as follows:

Since Messrs Jaydev M. Mody and Shiven Surendranath have chosen not to serve on the club’s Stewards body, Messrs Sanjay D. Shah and Rustom H. Vakil have been nominated to fill their vacancy by the committee at its first meeting held after the AGM.
 
Mr Vahanvaty to lead Board of Appeal
 
Two of six-member Board of Appeal (BoA), Mr Shivlal R. Daga and Ms Zinia Lawyer, retired by rotation and offered themselves for re-election. Mr Geoffrey B. Nagpal was the third nomination for the BoA contest, which necessitated an election by ballot. A total of 705 valid votes were cast for the BoA election. Mr Nagpal and Ms Lawyer, who received 570 and 380 votes respectively, were declared elected, while Mr Daga, who received 311 votes, failed in the election. The newly formed BoA, which will be act as the appeal board, consists of the following members:
