Group 3 winner and Group 1-placed Royal Rhyme has been sold to stand at Hazara Stud in India for 2027. The deal was brokered by Ajay Anne of New Approach Bloodstock.

A homebred for the late Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum, the son of Lope De Vega landed the Group 3 Brigadier Gerard Stakes in 2024, having claimed his first black-type success in the previous season's Listed Doonside Cup.

The Karl Burke-trained horse also finished third to Anmaat and Calandagan in the 2024 Champion Stakes and third to fellow new India-based sire Sosie in last year's Prix Ganay.

Royal Rhyme is the seventh foal out of Kingmambo mare Dubai Queen, a daughter of Group 1 Italian Oaks winner Zomaradah and therefore a half-sister to Classic winner and breed-shaping sire Dubawi.

Dubai Queen is the second dam of the outstanding Bow Echo, an unbeaten winner of this year's 2,000 Guineas, St James's Palace Stakes and Sussex Stakes, while she is also the dam of the Listed-winning Victoria Harbour and Group 2-placed Zabeel Queen.

Royal Rhyme is the first son of Lope De Vega to stand in India and he will join a roster which includes Group 2 Champagne Stakes scorer Saamidd.
