New Committee Elected At The Bangalore Turf Club

At the AGM held at the Bangalore Turf Club on Monday, 29th September 2008, the general body elected three Stewards and two Members of the Managing Committee. The new team shall be in office for the next two years. In a keenly fought contest, the following were declared "Elected".

The Government Of Karnataka has nominated two Club Members of the BTC as its nominees on the board. Shivkumar Kheny takes over as a Steward and Y Jagannath as a member of the Managing Committee. The entire committee shall meet on the 3rd of October to elect the Chairman of the Club. The next twelve months are extremely crucial in the history of the BTC, as the Government has asked the Club to move from its existing premises. The racing public of Karnataka looks forward to the leadership of the newly elected team, and hopes that a mutually acceptable solution shall be worked out to handle this delicate situation.
