After Master Blaster's scintillating performance among the top-notched horses on the penultimate day of the season, today it was the turn of his ownermate Ka Ching (Glory Of Dancer – Santella Katie) to prove his mettle in the Sea Wolf Plate, the main event at the Delhi races on Saturday. Jockey Ranjeet Singh, who dethroned Rajinder, and trainer Ishwar singh Piarmar, who bagged the championship, shared a brace each on the last day of the racing calendar. Ishwar's Ka Ching, who had managed to be on the board only twice in as many as 12 outings in the top class, was two-race old for the class two field. However, his win did not come as easy as it was expected.

His stable and ownermate Jewel Star and Rawsom were too speedy in the early furlongs of the sprinters distance. But before reaching the curve, Ka Ching managed to push Rawsom back and started launching an assault against the leader. His superiority also helped him to slam the door on the late-finishing Ashwa Prabha, who lost precious time by getting himself blocked on the fence. However, finally Ashwa Prabha pipped Jewel Star and was able to capture the runner-up berth. Shafiq Khan's Master Of Illusion (Sussex – Acquitaine) registered an emphatic victory in the day's opener, The Our Pride Plate. The colt provided an armchair ride to apprentice Aqeed Waheed and shed his maiden status by making every post a winning one.

Flight Of fancy, who ran on to be an impressive second, would be in different shape in the next season. Master Shub Shubh was an easy fourth behind Pretty Good. The lower division of The Pacific Queen Plate witnessed an elegant riding by Ranjeet Singh on Indian Bride (Argyle Lake – Sheer Blossoms), who necked Black virgin out. Dont Be Silly (Warrshan – Sirley Valentine), whose fitness problem had marred his career as he failed to meet with success and ran only once each in the last couple of seasons, showed a clean pair of heels in a start-to-finish attempt under Danish ali Khan in the upper division of the plate. The gelding, who has been in class three in Mumbai before being deported here, should reach his class in the next calendar. Deepak kalra-trained Kerry Blue (Flitch – Pregassona) got his overdue win in The Good bye Cup by foiling the wire-to-wire attempt of The Mafia. Ranjeet Singh helped Energetic Girl (Bee’s Prospector – Young Senorita) to bring the curtain down on the 2010-11 season.
