In view of the appeal filed by Suraj Narredu in connection with his ride atop Trakila in the B M Khaitan Memorial Calcutta Gold Cup (Gr.2), the tribunal at RCTC decided to grant him the benefit of the doubt. Punters may be relieved to learn that he is likely to be seen in action on 5th and 6th March at RCTC.

Mercy petition lodged by jockey A Sandesh in respect of the suspension imposed on him by the stewards of the club for a period of 12 days from 21st January 2026 to 29th March 2026 and to fine a sum of Rs. 1,00,000/- - re : enquiry into the running and riding of “Bezalel”. The Stewards at their meeting held on 22nd February, 2026, having considered the submissions made by Jockey A. Sandesh, after due delebration, decided to revise the period of the suspension of his Jockeys License and accordingly his license shall now remain suspended upto Sunday, 8th March, 2026.

Jockey Mukesh Kumar (Hyd) license has been suspended by the Stewards of RCTC for 8 race days from 2nd February 2026 to 11th March 2026 for unsatisfactory riding on his mount RIGHTEOUS. Jockey Mukesh Kumar (Hyd) was informed of his right to appeal.

In view of the two horses stationed at Bangalore Turf Club Limited being tested positive for the Glanders and further State Government of Karnataka issuing Notification dated: 16.12.2025 declaring as notified area as per Section 6 of "The Preventior! and Control o f Infectious and Contagious Diseases i n Animal Act 2009 and Clause -4.2 of National Action Plan for Control and Eradication of Glanders in India (Revised 2025) by DAHD, GOI Delhi.
