Trainer Saddam Iqbal has been suspended by the Stewards of Madras race club from 7th February 2021 to 7th March 2021, for his ward Lordship testing positive for 4-hydroxy Xylazine (Class III drug) during sampling. The trainer was informed of his right to appeal.

Chennai races scheduled to be held 30th November 2024 have been postponed to 5th December 2024 due to inclement weather rendering the track not suitable for racing. The same card will hold good.

Top trainer S Padmanabhan will be back saddling his horses before the start of the Bangalore winter season. The BTC restored his training license this morning after the compromise petition in court.
