Aryan is the son of Dr Nirnay Murthy, Veterinary Officer at Bangalore Turf Club. Dr. Nirnay's father was Late Dr. Narasimha Murthy a veterinarian who practiced at RWITC and BTC. Dr. Murthy's late father, Dr. Srinivas was the Sr. Veterinary Officer at RCTC and BTC.

Aryan is 2 years old and been diagnosed with a rare medical condition Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) the treatment of which is estimated to cost ?16 crore [US$2.0 million], beyond the means of almost anyone.

Aryan's case has been taken up by impactguru.com a registered NGO that raises funds via crowdfunding for such medical cases however the amount required is so large and to date they have only raised about 30 Lakhs against the required 16 crore !
