Popular racing journalist Tom Krish passed away during wee hours this morning. Tom was known to racing fraternity all over the world for his in-depth knowledge of the Royal sport. His simplistic language made his analysis interesting often peppered with amusing anecdotes. He collapsed mid-air in flight enroute to Chennai from Chicago. He was 75. Indiarace offers its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

Mercy petition lodged by jockey A Sandesh in respect of the suspension imposed on him by the stewards of the club for a period of 12 days from 21st January 2026 to 29th March 2026 and to fine a sum of Rs. 1,00,000/- - re : enquiry into the running and riding of “Bezalel”. The Stewards at their meeting held on 22nd February, 2026, having considered the submissions made by Jockey A. Sandesh, after due delebration, decided to revise the period of the suspension of his Jockeys License and accordingly his license shall now remain suspended upto Sunday, 8th March, 2026.

Jockey Mukesh Kumar (Hyd) license has been suspended by the Stewards of RCTC for 8 race days from 2nd February 2026 to 11th March 2026 for unsatisfactory riding on his mount RIGHTEOUS. Jockey Mukesh Kumar (Hyd) was informed of his right to appeal.

In view of the two horses stationed at Bangalore Turf Club Limited being tested positive for the Glanders and further State Government of Karnataka issuing Notification dated: 16.12.2025 declaring as notified area as per Section 6 of "The Preventior! and Control o f Infectious and Contagious Diseases i n Animal Act 2009 and Clause -4.2 of National Action Plan for Control and Eradication of Glanders in India (Revised 2025) by DAHD, GOI Delhi.
