Racing Incidents
Jockey Daniel M. Grant had accepted four rides on this day whereas he was eligible to accept only three rides as per the rules. Jockey Grant accepted his mistake and explained that INTIMACY was the last ride he had accepted. In view of the above, Trainer Rehanullah Khan was permitted to declare Jockey Samuel Fargeat on his charge INTIMACY. Jockey Daniel M. Grant has been fined Rs.3000/- for breach of the rule. Jockey C. Ruzaan (CHARGING RHINO) reported the loss of his whip at the 400 meters. Since the horse was out of contention no action has been initiated against the jockey beyond reminding him of the notice with regard to the loss of whip. Approaching the 800 meters, OYSTER GEM (App.Kishore Kadam) lugged in and hampered the running of LUCKY HONEY (Amyn Merchant).
