Racing Incidents
ENCELADUS (Y.S.Srinath) stumbled at the start. While negotiating the final bend, AGHA (Malcolm Kharadi) hung out and forced ESCRAVOS (K.P.G.Appu) to shift out, who in turn forced SCHUBERT (S.P.Ranjane) to travel wide. Trainer Bezan Chenoy has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. Passing the 400 meters, REJUVENITE (Daniel M. Grant) lugged in and forced ENCELADUS (Y.S.Srinath) to shift in and cause severe interference to AGHA (Malcolm Kharadi) and ENCELADUS got unbalanced. On questioning, Jockey Daniel Grant stated that his mount was inclined to lug in and he was aware of this habit of the horse and had kept the whip in his right hand and had taken care in all respects despite which the horse shifted in and caused the interference. Considering the history of the horse, Trainer Mansoor Shah has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the gelding in two mock races to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards before next accepting to race him
