Racing Incidents
Jockey Naresh Kumar (RAINBOW SHINE) was called in and questioned regarding his riding on his mount. He stated that he was instructed to sit 3rd/4th and do his best in the straight but his mount was not responding to his urges. It was observed that he took a level jump with the field and had made no apparent effort to be with the field , and dropped back with back-markers thereafter he did not make any effort to gain a good position in the race. Not being satisfied with the Jockey’s explanation which was that he had done his best he was fined Rs.5000/-for the unsatisfactory riding. The trainer was also questioned and he stated that he had asked the jockey to sit 4th/5th and do his best to win the race and he was not satisfied with the Jockey’s riding in the initial part of the race.
