Racing Incidents
OPTIMIST (Amyn Merchant) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. Jockey Amyn Merchant (OPTIMIST) has been fined Rs.3000/- for traveling wide from the 800 metres and in the straight thereby placing his mount at a disadvantage considering the short margin with which the horse lost the race.
