Racing Incidents
Trainer Mr. C.D. Katrak was fined Rs.10,000/- by the Stewards for failing to declare his charge RIYASAT to start for this race after having accepted with it. SHOOT A RAINBOW (S.A.DeSousa) stumbled approaching the 800 Metres and fell dislodging the rider thereby forcing SPARK OF ELEGANCE (S. John) and INSPIRING TRUST (Saleem Golam), who were racing directly behind, to be checked. In the process Jockey S. John, the rider of SPARK OF ELEGANCE was momentarily unbalanced and lost his stirrup iron and he had to ride without the aid of equipment thereafter.
