Racing Incidents
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of SILKEN THOMAS, placed Second by the Judge objected against Jockey S. John, the rider of VALID EXPECTATION placed I for approaching the 700 Metres S. John who was travelling three horses wide came in sharply and knocked me badly thereby I lost my position. I had to recover and make my run again and the verdict was only 3 - 4 lengths. I lost a certain race due to this. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection and forfeit the deposit of Rs.2,500/-.
