Racing Incidents
The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey B. Prakash, the rider of STAR ASSEMBLY to the Stewards for careless riding (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in that as the rider of STAR ASSEMBLY he shifted in passing the 1100 Metres, taking the ground of SPARKS (P.S. Chouhan) causing it to shift in and interfere with DUCKWORTH (S. Mallikarjun) and MARIANELLA (S.R. Santosh Kumar) which struck the rails and dislodged the rider. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Jockey B. Prakash. After deliberations, they decided to suspend Jockey B. Prakash from riding in races from 1-7-2009 to 5-7-2009 (both days inclusive) for careless riding (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount STAR ASSEMBLY in the above race (permitted to ride work).
