Racing Incidents
At the request of Trainer M.K.Jadhav, DAFFODILS was examined at 1615 hours just before saddling and was found to have a bleeding abrasion on the right hip. As such the filly was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Jockey Imran Chisty reported that the saddle on his mount HIGHLAND GLORY tilted to the left side soon after the start and he was unable to ride out his mount to complete advantage. Trainer CD Katrak has been fined Rs.5000/- for faulty saddling of his mount. After the race, EMPRESS OF INDIA was observed to have an abrasion on the right elbow.
