H S Bath was questioned regarding the improved performance of ch f AMBER CAT (App B Srinivas Rao), the winner of this race, as compared to its previous run in Race Nos. 66, 46 & 19 of the current meeting. The trainer stated that his stable had not fancied the filly and he was pleasantly surprised with its victory. He had no plausible explanation other than that her competitors in that race were of less ability. His explanation was noted.
