Vijay Singh informed the Stipendiary Stewards that his instructions to his jockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of FORMAL AFFAIR were, if circumstances permitted, to ride the horse from 6th/7th position in the early stages of the race and thereafter to make gradual progress and to do his best during the final stages of the race. His instructions were noted.
