At the request of Tr. Rutherford Alford b g LYCIA FALCON declared to run in the above race was examined by the Sr. Veterinary Officer and found to have developed a painful ulcer on its tongue. Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Rutherford Alford was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Sr. Veterinary Officer.
