Racing Incidents
The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Khurshad Alam, the rider of SACHIMORE to the Stewards for careless riding (Rule No.161(i)) of the BTC Rules of Racing in that he shifted in causing very severe interference to DANCE N CELEBRATE (Valdir DeSousa) on his inside approaching the 250 Metres. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and examined Jockeys Khurshad Alam and Valdir DeSousa. After deliberations they decided to suspend the Jockey`s Licence granted to Jockey Khurshad Alam from 3-1-2011 to 14-1-2011 (both days inclusive) for careless riding (Rule No.161(i)) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount SACHIMORE in the above race (permitted to ride work).
