Racing Incidents
An Objection was lodged by Jockey C.D.Hayes, the rider of CLASS APART (Placed 2nd by the Judge) against Jockey N.G.McCullagh, the rider of INCOGNITO (Placed first) for coming on to him and bumping his mount at the 200 metres marker whereby he had to correct his filly at a crucial stage which cost him a certain race as his filly fought back. After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Steward/Racing Advisor and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to over-rule the objection.
