Racing Incidents
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Vikram Appachu to substitute Jockey J Paswan to ride YOURE A LEGEND in place of the declared rider.
It was reported after the race that EDMONDO (S A De Sousa) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. M Eshwer was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club`s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Shanth Kumar to the Stewards for unsatisfactory riding (Rule No.161(ii)) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount BUCETHALIS. The Stewards held an enquiry on 18th May 2011 and examined trainer Mr. R. Mallikarjuna and Jockey Shanth Kumar. After deliberations, they decided to (a) fine trainer Mr. R. Mallikarjuna a sum of Rs.20,000/- for unsatisfactory running of his charge BUCETHALIS in the above race and for the unsatisfactory explanation tendered by him during the enquiry; and (b) suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey Shanth Kumar from 28-5-2011 to 22-6-2011 (both the days inclusive) for unsatisfactory riding (Rule No.161(ii)) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount BUCETHALIS in the above race (permitted to ride work).
