As Jockey B. Prakash was certified medically unfit to ride after his ride in the 5th Race, permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan to substitute Jockey Neeraj Rawal to ride CHEMIN DE FER in place of the declared rider. Jockey Melvyn Maseyk, the rider of DROP OF HONEY, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not coming in proper attire to the weighing room to fulfill his riding engagement. Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was fined Rs.1000/- for discrepancy in shoeing in respect of his charge HARD TO PIN DOWN. Jockey Melvyn Maseyk, the rider of DROP OF HONEY, was reprimanded for shifting out and bumping HARD TO PIN DOWN (R. Koch) which in turn passed it on to GOLDEN RULE (S. John) on his outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates. Jockey D.K. Ashish, the rider of BOURNE SUPREME, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to GOLDEN RULE (S. John) on his inside soon after jumping out of the starting gates. Jockey D.K. Ashish, the rider of BOURNE SUPREME, was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive and improper use of whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
