Trainer Mr. C D Monnappa was fined Rs.10,000/- by the Stewards for having accepted CATAPULT (K P G Appu) to run in the above race without obtaining a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer when he had been specifically advised to do so. Subsequently, permission was granted to him to withdraw CATAPULT from the above race.

Jockey Afsar Khan the rider of POKEMON MASTER was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (first infringement).

It was reported after the race that QUEENS CRUIZE (Amyn Merchant) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Bipin V Salvi was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
