ROYAL SURPRISE (Valdir De Sousa) lost a few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day.

Jockey Ladjadj Stephane, the rider of RADICAL ATTRACTION, placed II by the Judge objected against Jockey M. Kumar, the rider of SUPREMACY placed I for "in the last 100 Metres, the winner drifted out and forced me to change my line which cost me a certain race". The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and examined the Jockeys concerned. After deliberation the Stewards decided to over rule the objection. Subsequent to the objection being over ruled, the Stewards decided that the deposit of Rs.2,500/- paid by Jockey Ladjadj Stephane be forfeited as they considered the objection to be frivolous.
