Racing Incidents

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar to substitute Jockey P.S. Chouhan to ride GUNPOWDER in place of the declared rider.

SPRAWLING ELEGANCE (S.R.Santosh Kumar) took a fly jump.

Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of GUNPOWDER, reported that his saddle shifted slightly sideways soon after jumping out of the starting gates which he adjusted by properly balancing on the saddle and later it shifted back passing the 800 Metres and as such he could not offer any assistance to his mount thereafter. After due examination of the equipment, trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was fined Rs.5,000/- for faulty saddling of his charge.

Jockey S.R. Santosh Kumar, the rider of SPRAWLING ELEGANCE, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 350 Metres.

It was reported after the race that BOLZANO (Vinod Shinde) had apparently lost its left fore shoe during the race.
