An objection lodged by App.Jockey Sandeep Rajput  the rider of  SHOCKING STAR placed third by the Judge against  App.Jockey Shafeeq Ahmed  the rider of MOONGATE MAN placed first by the Judge for “ bumping him from 300 mts and cutting across  at around 250 mts due to which my mount got unbalanced   and I had to stop the horse to avoid a fall and that cost me a certain race”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race interviewed the Jockeys concerned and after deliberations, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and based on the observation of the race the Stewards were not satisfied that an alteration to the placings could not be justified. Therefore, they decided to overrule the objection. The Security deposit was refunded.

App.Jockey Shafeeq Ahmed the rider of MOONGATE MAN was fined Rs.2000/- for allowing his mount to shift in thereby inconveniencing SHOCKING STAR (Sandeep Rajput)

MOONGATE MAN was impounded for veterinary  examination and the Club’s Veterinary officer reported no apparent abnormality.

An enquiry has been opened into the running and riding of SHOCKING STAR trained by Mr.Magan Singh and ridden by App.Jockey Sandeep Rajput in particular the reasons that the Jockey riding  the filly  from a rearward position in the field in contrast to its usual racing pattern and review wagering records.

Urine sample was taken for analysis from the winner MOONGATE MAN  in the presence of Trainer Mr.Zulfiqar Khan deputizing for Mr.Deepak Kalra and sent for Analytical test.
