ch g BEETHOVEN was withdrawn with the permission of the Stewards as the conditions of the  embargo placed against the gelding in its previous run in Race No. 38 held on 26^th November, 2011 had not been fulfilled.  

App Arman Khan and  Tr. D M David when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of b g SEA WARRIOR, App Arman Khan stated that he was instructed to be positioned 4^th/5^th in the early and middle stages of the race  and do his best thereafter.  However, the gelding was tardily out of the gate and despite his best efforts to  restrain his mount in the instructed position, the gelding got the better of him and hit the front approaching the 800 metres.  Tr. D M David corroborated the instructions and stated that he was disappointed that the apprentice was unable to place his charge in the designated positions.   The Stipendiary Stewards while noting the explanation,  informed the trainer and apprentice that  the  running and riding of their horses will be closely monitored.
