At the request of Tr. F A Rodrigues (Jr) ch g SECRET SPARK, an acceptor in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on 12^th January, 2012 and found to be lame on right fore.  Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn on veterinary grounds.  Tr. F A Rodrigues was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

Passing the 600 metres EBONY PRINCESS (M Krishna) travelling along the rails was checked by its rider, bounced off the inner rails and lost ground when FOCUS (Carlos Henrique) shifted ‘inwards’.  At a subsequent enquiry both jockeys were interviewed and shown the CCTV replay of the race. Jockey Carlos Henrique accepted that he may have had momentarily shifted ‘inwards’ and hence was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/- for the lapse.

In the concluding stages of the race ASHWA PRABIR (I Chisty) and DIVINE SPLENDOR (Shailesh Shinde) under pressure made contact with each other.
