The surcingle of STAR OF ROSES (Md Islam) was changed at the start

SCHWARZENEGGER (A Imran Khan), ROMAN CENTURION (B Sreekanth) and ALEXANDER HELIOS (Kishore Kadam) were slow to begin.

Approaching the 400 metres it was observed that INCANTO BLISS (App Vikash Tamang), HEAD HUNTER (Shailesh Shinde), ALETRIS (C Alford), STAR OF ROSES (Md Islam) and SCHWARZENEGGER (A Imran Khan) traveled wide  upon entering the straight.  At a subsequent enquiry all the jockeys of the above mentioned horses were interviewed and it was established that App Vikash Tamang, the rider of INCANTO BLISS travelling along the rails shifted ‘outwards’ for no apparent reason thereby carrying wide HEAD HUNTER, ALETRIS, STAR OF ROSES and  SCHWARZENEGGER which were making quick progress on its outside.  The Stipendiary Stewards, therefore, decided to charge App Vikash Tamang for negligent riding under Rule  161(i) of the RCTC Rules of Racing.  The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and took into consideration the mitigating circumstances, the record of the apprentice and decided to suspend App Vikash Tamang from riding in races on 8^th, 11^th, 12^th & 18^th September, 2012 for negligent riding.  The apprentice was informed of his right to appeal and was permitted to ride track work.
