As Jockey Valdir De Sousa, the declared rider of MR SUNRISE, could not fulfil his riding engagements for the day’s Races, permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Z Darashah to substitute Jockey R Vaideeshwaran to ride MR SUNRISE in place of the declared rider.

VOODOO MOON (M Mark) was examined at the Starting Gate by the Club’s Veterinary Officer and was found to be lame on right hind. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s Order. Trainer Mr. M Bobby was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey B Mahesh, the rider of SPANDAU BALLET, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the Race (first infringement).
