The blinker on b g  ROMANCER was replaced prior to the gelding leaving the parade ring to the start of the race, as the equipment did not conform to its specification.  At a subsequent enquiry by the Stewards after the last race Tr. E Bhungard was unable to give any plausible explanation for this lapse and, therefore, was fined a sum of Rs. 10,000/- for presenting his charge in the paddock with blinkers not conforming to its requirement.

ESCAPE TO VICTORY (Imran Chisty) was fractious while being stalled.

SNOW WHITE (M F Ali Khan) was slow to begin.

Jockey B Sreekanth, the rider of INSPIRATIONAL, reported that some distance after the start he was crowded for room and momentarily checked his filly.  At a subsequent enquiry it was established that the incident was accidental, as such no action was taken beyond noting the incident.

Jockey Ranjeet Singh, the rider of ROMANCER, reported that approaching the 400 metres he was denied a clear run due to the crowding of the field and consequently had to momentarily check the gelding. 

Jockey Mohit Singh, the rider of AMBAA, reported the loss of his whip approaching the final 150 metres of the race.
